English Muffin Pizza Melt Recipe

li1 pound extra-lean ground beef /li
li1/4 cup onion, chopped /li
linonstick vegetable cooking spray /li
li1 can pizza sauce, (8-ounces) /li
li1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes /li
li1/2 teaspoon basil /li
li1/4 teaspoon garlic powder /li
li2 Tablespoons low-fat (or part-skim) mozzarella cheese, shredded /li
li3 whole-wheat English muffins, split /li

liPreheat oven to 350 degrees. /li
liCook beef and onion in skillet coated with vegetable spray. /li
liCook until meat is no longer pink. /li
liDrain and dry with paper towels to reduce fat. /li
liStir in pizza sauce and seasonings. /li
liTop each muffin with 1/6 cup beef mixture. /li
pem(You may want to toast the muffins before adding meat and cheese.) /em/p
liTop with 1 teaspoon cheese. /li
liBake for 10 to 15 minutes or until heated thoroughly and cheese is melted. /li
