Diabetic Sugar Free Apple Pie Recipe

pEMDiabetic Sugar Free Apple Pie Recipe from the diabetic recipe collection at InformationAboutDiabetes.com/emIngredients: /pP6 oz frozen apple juice, -- (1 cn)d concentr2 tbsp rounded all purpose flour1 tsp cinnamon1/4 tsp salt5 apples, (5 to 7)1 tbsp butter or margarinenutmeg (optional)1 9" double-crust pie shell, unbaked/pPreparation: PIn a small saucepan, combine the frozen apple juice, flour, cinnamon andsalt. Stir constantly over medium heat until the mixture is thick andbubbly, 3 to 5 minutes. Peel and slice the apples and stir them into theapple juice mixture. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell and dotwith butter. Position the top crust over the filling, cutting slits forthe steam to escape. Trim and seal the edges. Brush the top very lightlywith water and sprinkle with nutmeg if desired. Bake at 450 degrees for 15minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes more.
