2 slice dry bread1 tbsp diet margarine1/2 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp allspice3 cup apples, cored sliced1 tbsp lemon juice3/4 cup dietetic maple syrup

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mixtoasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon allspice. Mixapples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread ina well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover withcrumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
