Honey Apple Pork Chop

Serves 1 - 2

Ingredients

  • 1 (4-5 oz) lean pork chop, fat trimmed
  • 1 granny smith apple, peeled, cored, diced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Place your apple into a pan on medium heat. After about five minutes, they should begin to brown.
  3. Add the honey and apple cider vinegar to the pan and mix well. Allow the mixture to caramelize on medium while you prepare another pan to high heat.
  4. Cover the inside of a deep pan or baking dish with aluminum foil and spray a little olive oil to prevent sticking. Once the apples are ready, place the pork chop in the center and cover it with the apple mixture.
  5. Place the pork loin in the oven and cook for 20 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
