1 small head green cabbage, cut into 6 wedges (1 lb)1 tbsp sugar3 tbsp white vinegar1 tbsp onion, finely chopped1/4 tsp salt3/4 tsp celery seed1/4 tsp ground ginger

Preparation:

Heat 1" salted water (1/2 ts salt to 1 c water) to boiling in 10" skillet.Add cabbage. Cover and heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer untilcrisp-tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove to serving platter with slottedspoon. Heat remianing ingredients to boiling water in small sauce pan,stirring occcasionally. Pour sauce over cabbage wedges.
