Barbecue Turkey Sandwich

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp instant minced onion
  • 1/4 c ketchup
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt (omit for low-sodium diet)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (or 1 tbsp sugar substitute)
  • 1.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 tsp mustard
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 cups cooked turkey
  • 6 whole-grain hamburger buns

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients
    except turkey and hamburger buns. Mix well.
  2. Place mixture in a saucepan. Add turkey and
    bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Serve hot on hamburger buns.
