Facebook Game Helps Diabetics

Yes, it is true even the popular social media site Facebook has a hand in helping people with diabetes. A game that can be accessed through Facebook helps diabetics make better food and lifestyle choices and no it is not Farmville or Café World.

HeathSeeker Game

The game HealthSeeker was designed by Ayogo Games. The developers include the Diabetes Hands Foundation and the Joslin Diabetes Center.
The purpose of the game is to raise awareness about diabetes and to help diabetics make “lifestyle changes that focus on healthy eating.”

The game much like other Facebook games have missions and action steps that help the players to receive lifestyle goals which allows the players to advance in the game and move on to new missions and action steps to reach even higher lifestyle goals.

The lifestyle goals allow the players to learn eat more healthy, reach their ideal weight or maintain it, which improves the management and control of the diabetes and lowers cardiovascular risks.

Game Not Just for Diabetics

This game no doubt has a genus factor to it not only diabetics have found themselves playing it but people who want to lose weight enjoy the game as well. The game fits right in along with several of the other games that can be accessed through Facebook.
