My father has been pre diabetic for a few years now. He has been complaining of dizziness for the past few weeks. Can this dizziness show that he is now becoming a diabetic? I am trying to see what the best next step is here.

Dizziness can be caused by a lot of different things. It does not necessarily have to be related to diabetes. But, having said that, I know that I have often had dizzy spells if my blood sugar gets too low and that is directly related to diabetes. I think the best thing is to have you dad go see a doctor if this persists or at least get some lab tests done to see where his glucose levels are compared to when he last had his labs.
