Researchers Studying Metabolomic Biomarker that may Detect Diabetes Early

Metabolomic biomarker is a very new study. The study is so new that January 14, 2011 was the first time researchers and scientists sat down to discuss how metabolomic biomarkers can aide in the early detection of type 2 diabetes and genetic diseases.

BIOCRATES Life Sciences AG

Biocrates Life Sciences AG is an Austrian company. The company’s role is to provide research, support and products that will eventually set milestones in the early detection of type 2 diabetes.

Metabolomic & Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is a metabolic disease. If researchers and scientists are able to identify the metabolomic biomarker in people who pose a high risk for developing diabetes then the onset of diabetes may be prevented.

Conclusion

Type 2 diabetes causes several other health related problems including heart disease, stokes, and heart attacks are at the top of the list. Diabetes if uncontrolled can cause blindness, foot ulcers and even limb amputations. Preventing diabetes is the best treatment and if Biocrates can do just that maybe by the year 2020 half the population will not be a type 2 diabetic!
