Sweet Potato And Apple Bake Recipe
Ingredients:

1.50 lb Sweet potatoes, peel, slice
2.00 Golden Apples, peel, slice t
3.00 tb Shallots or onions, minced
3.00 tb Apple juice or broth
1.00 cl Garlic, minced
1.00 x Salt and pepper to taste
*TOPPING*
1.00 tb Vegetable oil or butter
1.00 c Fresh whole wheat crumbs
0.50 ts Cinnamon, ground
0.25 ts Nutmeg, ground
1.00 x Salt and pepper to taste,op
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine the first five
ingredients in a large bowl. Toss with sale and pepper
to taste. Spread the mixture evenly in a 9 x 13 baking
dish. Cover tightly with foil and bake until potatoes
and apples are tender--about 35 minutes. Meanwhile,
heat the oil or butter in a nonstick skillet over
medium heat. Add the bread crumbs, cinnamon and
nutmeg. Cook, stirring until crisp and golden about
five minutes.Add salt and pepper to taste if you wish.
Sprinkle over potatoes and apple mixture and serve.
