Diabetic Burger Recipes
Pepper Burgers Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb very lean ground beef
1 egg white
3/4 oz wheat germ
1 cup red and/or green pepper, chopped finely
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 package beef broth mix
1 pepper to taste
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients, shape into 4 patties. Place on rack in broiler pan or
on grill and cook 3 incehs from heat about 5 minutes per side, or until
done to taste.
Per serving: 23g protein, 16g fat, 6g carb., 423mg sodium, 70mg chol., 259
calories.
Serves: 4
