Pea Soup - Vegetarian Cooking For Diabetics Recipe





Ingredients:

0.50 c Split peas, dried
0.25 c Barley, raw
6.00 c -water
1.00 c Potato, diced
1.00 c Onions, chopped
1.00 c Cabbage, shredded
1.00 Celery stalk, diced
1.00 c Carrots, diced
Bay leaf, basil, tarragon,
Pepper, to taste



Preparation:

In a large pot combine water, lentils and barley. Cook
for 1 hour. Add the remaining ingredients, cover and
cook another 30 min. 1 serving = 1 1/2 c 272 calories,
2 meat, 2 bread, 2 veg protein 10gm, fat 0gm, carbs
58gm
