Ingredients:

2.00 c Garbanzo beans, cooked drai
1.00 sl Crustless, firm wheat bread
0.33 c Water
1.00 tb All purpose flour
0.50 ts Baking soda
3.00 cl Garlic, minced
1.00 Egg white
2.00 tb Parsley, chopped
0.50 ts Salt
0.25 ts Black pepper
0.25 ts Cumin
0.50 ts Tumeric
0.25 ts Basil
0.25 ts Marjoram
1.00 tb Tahini or olive oil
Cayenne pepper to taste
Flour for coating falafel

Preparation:

1. Puree the garbanzos in a food processor or in a
blender. 2. Add the remaining ingredients, except for
flour, and mix well. The mixture will be soft. 3. Form
the mixture into 1-inch balls or patties and coat with
flour. 4. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for
15 - 20 minutes. 5. To make a falafel snadwich, cut a
piece of pita bread in half and 2 - 3 falafel balls or
patties in the open halves. Add lettuce, alfalfa
sprouts, sliced tomatoes, green onions and low fat
Yogurt Dressing or Tahini Dressing.
