Diabetic Apple Crunch Recipe
Ingredients:
2 slice dry bread
1 tbsp diet margarine
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
3 cup apples, cored sliced
1 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup dietetic maple syrup
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mix
toasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon allspice. Mix
apples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread in
a well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover with
crumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm. Food
