Apple Fudge Squares Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup applesauce
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 350oF. Grease an 8" square pan on bottom. Sift flour,
baking powder, soda and salt together; set aside. In double boiler, melt
butter and chocolate together over medium heat. Remove from heat and add
sugar and applesauce. Beat in eggs one at a time. Blend in vanilla and dry
ingredients; stir in pecans.
Pour into prepared pan. Spread evenly. Bake 35-40 mintues, until done as
desired. Let cool. Cut into squares or bars.
