Hi Tiffany,

Welcome to InformationAboutDiabetes.com!

I cannot say for certain that you will or will not develop diabetes. Diabetes is hereditary meaning you have a higher chance of developing diabetes than someone who does not have a family member with diabetes.

You should improve you diet and exercise routine if it needs any improvement, other wise continue to eat healthy foods and get plenty of exercise several days a week.

If you have any of the diabetes symptoms, you should make an appointment with your doctor to be tested. If you do not have any symptoms next time you visit your do mention your concern to him or her and request a pre-diabetes blood test. This will at least put your mind at ease. However, please do continue to eat healthy, exercise, and of course follow any instructions your doctor may give you.
