The American Diabetes Association has launched an official blog to help put a face on the face on the disease we know as diabetes. The majority of people who are non-diabetic do not even know the most common things about diabetes let alone that it kills thousands of people each year. The American Diabetes Associates states that diabetes kills more people than AIDS and breast cancer combined on an annual basis.

The Blog - "Diabetes Stops Here"

The blog was launched to help raise awareness and be able to reach out to the 23.6 million American who have diabetes and the 57 million American who are at risk of developing diabetes.

What the Blog is All About

The blog will help diabetics and non diabetics understand more about diabetes. “It will also provide snap shots of the people who are committed to putting an end to this disease, from inspiring volunteer stories to moving staff experiences to celebrity stories about how to be successful while living with diabetes. The stories, interviews and news will be shared by the blog's author, a staff member at the American Diabetes Association, who has lived with type 1 diabetes for nearly ten years.”

Everyone is encouraged to check out the blog!
