Rite Aid Teams Up With American Diabetes Association
The chain drug store Rite Aid has joined forces with the American Diabetes Association to stop diabetes. The national campaign called the Stop Diabetes Campaign.
The campaign will involve diabetes risk tests; they will host more than 1,200 clinics during the month of November, which is American Diabetes Month. They will also provide educational booklets at all their stores.
Sadly, many people do not realize that diabetes can be a life threatening. It can also cause heart disease, strokes and many other conditions related to or caused by diabetes.
Education is so important for diabetics and their family or caregivers. Rite Aid’s goal is to educate and raise as much awareness about diabetes as possible. Currently a 20-page guide is available at over 4,000 stores nationwide.
The guide includes information on both type 1 and 2 diabetes. How to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. As well as information on gestational diabetes and several other diabetic related topics.
