The game HealthSeeker was designed by Ayogo Games. The developers include the Diabetes Hands Foundation and the Joslin Diabetes Center. The purpose of the game is to raise awareness about diabetes and to help diabetics make “lifestyle changes that focus on healthy eating.”
The game much like other Facebook games have missions and action steps that help the players to receive lifestyle goals which allows the players to advance in the game and move on to new missions and action steps to reach even higher lifestyle goals.
The lifestyle goals allow the players to learn eat more healthy, reach their ideal weight or maintain it, which improves the management and control of the diabetes and lowers cardiovascular risks.
