A company located in Finland has developed a new device which is designed to test the glucose levels in children. The product is yet unnamed.

This comes at a prime time when approximately 15 million juveniles around the globe have been diagnosed as being diabetic. One of the countries in particular that will greatly benefit from this technology is India, which has seen a dramatic increase in the number of newly diagnosed cases of diabetes.

Modz, the manufacturer of the device, worked to design a model that could be compatible with both a cell phone or a computer. This makes accessibility to transporting information much easier and quicker.

Because of this new development, children who are required to take blood samples throughout the day will now be able to issue these results to healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics or even their parents. The system uses an assortment of interesting icons, colors and even speaking to communicate the information.

“Modz's first product is a unique blood glucose meter especially designed for kids and teenagers,” said Modz's chief executive, Pietari Paivanen.

He added: We completed the first round of financing this year. Commercial production will start soon.”
