The Boston Scientific Corporation has announced its sponsorship of "World Diabetes Day" for the 3rd year in a row. The World Diabetes campaign is led by the International Diabetes Federation and represents its primary global awareness in the fight against world diabetes.

Who is the International Diabetes Federation?

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is made up of more than two hundred diabetes associations in more than 160 countries. The IDF all share one common goal to enhance the lives of the millions of people who are diabetic.

What the International Diabetes Federation Does

They are dedicated to educating, raising awareness and finding a cure for diabetes. "As a company committed to improving lives, we recognize our responsibility to patients, customers, employees and the community by supporting key health initiatives like World Diabetes Day," said Dan Brennan, Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller of Boston Scientific and the Company's 2010 Executive Sponsor of World Diabetes Day. "We're proud to continue our support of this important campaign, and together we can make a difference for those at risk or living with diabetes."

In Conclusion

World Diabetes day should be practiced everyday until a cure is found. Millions of people suffer from diabetes and thousands more will join the millions within the next year. Take part by education, raising awareness and money to help fight diabetes and find a cure!
