Drew Carey the host of “The Price is Right” managed to lose 80 pounds the old fashion way through a healthy well balanced diet and exercise. He said he exercised 45 minutes to an hour a day six days a week. His only beverage is plain ole’ water.

His type 2 diabetes was under control with medication. He decided to lose the weight because he did not like the way he looked. He said, “He was tired of being fat.” An added bonus was he no longer needed his diabetic medication this does happen but sadly not for everyone.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for diabetes yet so the best we can say is Mr. Carey’s diabetes is in remission and hopefully it will stay there. His story is inspiring to other diabetics who are overweight because a proper diet and exercise may help many other diabetics lose their medications as well.
