It is important to hear what the has to say about the problems with diabetic foot ulcers. Christopher M. Cashman, President and CEO of SANUWAVE, said, "Despite advances in diabetes management, diabetic foot ulcers continue to be the most common cause of hospitalization among diabetics, and diabetes remains the single largest contributing factor to limb loss.” This statement alone should show you how important it is to have a treatment that works for diabetic foot ulcers.

An estimated 1 in 4 foot ulcers will lead to amputation. The number of people developing diabetes is astounding. Worldwide as many as 260 million people have diabetes and each year that number increases. Currently there are about 54 million pre diabetics in the United States alone.

In late 2010 or early 2011 the FDA will make a ruling on whether or not Dermapace will be approved.
